It’s Blog Action Day

As my RSS reader fills with posts related to Blog Action Day, I have only this to say…

Don’t get so focused on the “Blog” part of that title that you miss point — the ACTION.

Bike to work. Re-arrange your surge protectors. Clean with vinegar. Buy these really witty outlet switches.

Just DO something!

Then tell people about it. Make them feel bad that they didn’t do as much as you did.

Make ME feel bad that I didn’t do as much as you did in the comments.

I don’t know that taking action just so you can smugly rub it in people’s faces really encapsulates the message of an altruistic event like Blog Action Day… although, if it gets people off their asses, I suppose it’s better than typing 1000 meaningless words of support and then gassing up one’s SUV…

As for the more important word in the phrase, yes, ACTION trumps BLOG by a landslide.

Thanks so much for your comment! No, I’m not on Etsy yet, but I’m looking into it.. I hadn’t heard of it until you said that! :)

Ooh I just posted a blog and I wish I had known about Blog Action day earlier. No matter. I will post environment posts later on for sure. Today I walked to the grocery store, but only because I don’t have a car. Um, I recycle all of my bottles & cans. My favorite cleaner is non-toxic & environmentally friendly, but I’m out of it.

I peed a couple of times without flushing to conserve water (and because I wanted my blue toilet water tablet to last).

Any environment-friendly tips for cleaning/living?

Hi there, those are useful housekeeping tips… I will try.

By the way, just a note to let you know that, I’ve added you to my list of tags to join in Alex Shalman’s “Caring Compassion Charity”. The idea is for you to write about something you’re passionate about. You would link to me and I would link back to the originator. It’s a good way to build networking. You can find my article post here: http://thinksimplenow.com/happiness/the-causes-that-make-my-heart-sing/

Love & Gratitude,
